About
London is thought to be one of the most diverse and open-minded places in the world with approximately 400,000 gays and lesbians living in the capital. However, homophobic lives among us and attitudes are hostile in many communities that share this city with us. In 2000, bombs in a terrorist-style attack also targeted London's gay community and hit it's very heart when it killed three in a bar in Soho.
Stabbings in areas in South and North London demand us to take action and realise that although we achieved a lot of legal equality and protection, hostility among the common people is strong.
Most recently, a 39-year-old park who frequented a Park with his partner to walk his dog near Black Boy Lane (Tottenham, North London) had been stabbed and died shortly afterwards on Saturday, May 16 2009.
Please join and debate what can be done to tackle homophobia among our neighbours.

I wish it could. Maybe some kinds can. I've known people who have modernised with the times and those who have gotten to know and love us. I also know of some homophobes who have been cured by coming out of the closet. Homophobia was a way of expressing their own denial. The rest seem to be hopeless.
